Hi! I’m Jill and I’m so glad you stumbled across my blog!  I’m born and raised in the Midwest and still call it home.  I work for a commercial General Contractor and studied interior design.  This blog was originally created out of a love for all things home as well as my huge love for dogs. In 2022 life threw me a curveball and I was diagnosed with Myopic Macular Degeneration. I have now decided I want to also use this platform as a way to help others with low vision.

I’ve loved interiors since I can remember and spent a lot of my childhood rearranging my bedroom in countless ways or combing through the pages of House Beautiful (this was way before the Internet).  I still am constantly finding new ways to arrange things in my home or move décor around to give it a fresh look.  I also love organizing and sharing ideas and inspiration with others.

Dogs are my other love.  I volunteer every Sunday at our local humane society and Volunteering for The Animal Protection League is how Daisy entered the Pursell family.  We lost her in July 2024 to stomach cancer. Diesel is now 14 and I try to make the most of every day with him. I can’t imagine a life without dogs.  No one else is ever going to get that excited to see you when you come home!  Trust me on that one.

My hope is that I can share my tips, ideas and lessons learned for keeping a tidy and organized home while navigating life with low vision and dogs of course!
