I have been asked more times then I can count why I pay someone to come let the Pursell pups out midday while we are at work. Would you want to hold your pee for nine plus hours at a time? Heck no! Our pups are also crated while we are away so using a daily pet sitter not only gives them a potty break but they also get to run around the yard for a bit and get some attention from the pet sitter which they absolutely love more than anything.
Peace of Mind
Peace of mind is another reason we use a daily pet sitting service. Daisy has epilepsy (no seizures for six years now) and I like the fact that someone can check on her midday to assure us all is well. In the event something would be wrong, they would notify us right away. Daisy did have the unfortunate episode of diarrhea in her crate once and our pet sitter cleaned up her crate so she wouldn’t have to spend the entire day in a mess. Bless her!
Security
An added benefit is that our pet sitter also brings in any packages left on the porch. Lord knows the Amazon vehicle makes routine deliveries to the Pursell house. I don’t have to worry about anything going missing. They also let us know if there is anything wrong in the house like a water leak or the air conditioning and furnace not working properly.
Exercise Break
It brightens my day when I get the daily pet sitter report with pictures right after they have come for their visit. Seeing the dogs playing in the yard and giving kisses to the pet sitter (yes, they take selfies with them) would make anyone’s day a little better while at work. For us, having a daily pet sitter also allows us to run an errand after work if we need to or we get stuck in traffic.
